We can use follow this link to enable Flexnet(Flexera) license report log. but Flexnet(Flexera) have encrypted those report log that we can’t use those to analytics license data. Flexnet(Flexera) provide an software (FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications – FNMEA ) to collect report log and we can export data to splunk for analytics. I have done those for couple years.

Flexnet(Flexera) license server 幾乎壟斷大多數的市場，大多數的EDA vendor 都使用這家當作license server ，雖然我們可以透過option file設定report log，但是這些report log都已經加密無讀取性，我們只好借助這家公司的另外一個軟體(FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications – FNMEA ) 來幫忙收集這些report log並且解密，我們已經使用很多年，雖然發現很多bug 但是很多都已經有解決方案，這個軟體無法跟LSF job id 結合，但是資料依舊非常有很高的價值，數年前我已經將data 導入Splunk 分析，光透過這些資料就非常多分析可以做，也可以更有效率的調整LSF job and license 使用的方法，因為分析改善我們將某license utilization from around avg 30% 提升到 avg 99% 光這點就可以替公司省下不少的錢。
當年踏入資料分析Big data 領域以後發現又是一個新大陸，實在有太多太多東西可以學習使用的。
